ARE ANY UTILITIES INCLUDED IN THE RENT?
Water and sewer are included in the rent. Tenants are responsible for their own electricity and telecommunications (meter).
Is parking AVAILABLE? what is the cost?
Underground parking is optional and is available at a cost of $125 per month per parking space. There is also free surface parking available outside (maximum 2 cars per unit)
ARE PETS ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING?
Pet friendly floors will be available in the building. Only the 2nd and 5th floors will be pet friendly. Pets are not permitted on any other floors. Pets will require approval by management before accepting entry.
IS THE BUILDING SECURE?
Tannery Place is a secure building with security cameras and key cards at each entrance for your peace of mind.
ARE THE APARTMENTS FURNISHED?
No, we do not offer any furnished apartments, however, stainless steel appliances will be provided. These include a refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher and microwave.
DO I NEED RENTERS' INSURANCE?
Westmount-Duparc Developments Inc. requires that all tenants provide proof on renters' insurance.
HOW CAN I PAY MY RENT?
You may pay your rent by pre-authorized payment - (PAP) where money is automatically withdrawn from your bank account when rent is due.
IS A SECURITY DEPOSIT REQUIRED?
Yes. A security deposit of equal to one month's rent must be paid to Westmount-DuParc Developments Inc. The security deposit is sent to the provincial government's office of the Rentalsman.
At the end of your lease and provided there are no damages, the Rentalsman and you will receive written notice indicating the release of your security deposit. Only the Rentalsman can reimburse the security deposit and in general, this only takes a few days.
HOW DO I PAY MY SECURITY DEPOSIT:
Option 1: The tenant may pay the security deposit to the landlord. The landlord must then pay it at any Service New Brunswick Service Centre within 15 days of receiving it.
Option 2: The tenant may pay the security deposit at any local Service New Brunswick Service Centre. They must fill out the Security Deposit Remittance form.
The tenant will receive a receipt and the landlord will receive a certificate attesting payment.
Service New Brunswick Service Centres accept cash, money orders, certified cheques and debit cards. Money orders and certified cheques should be made to the order of "Service New Brunswick".

HOW LONG IS THE LEASE TERM?
The lease has a 1 year term. After the first year is completed, the lease automatically renews each year unless a 3 months notice to vacate is given to the building manager on or before the first day of the first of said three-month notice period.

ARE BBQ'S ALLOWED ON THE BALCONY?
Propane or charcoal BBQ's are NOT permitted on the Balcony as per the Fire Marshall code. Only electric BBQ's are permitted on the balcony.
is SMOKING permitted?
Tannery Place is a smoke-free building, therefore no smoking is permitted inside the building, on your balcony or in the parking garage. This includes smoking, burning or vaping of any substance. Smoking is only permitted in designated exterior smoking area.
Growing of cannabis plants are prohibited inside the building or on the property.
